ROCKLEDGE

I began teaching at Rockledge Christian School in 2005.  Before coming here, I taught more than twenty years in the public schools of Illinois.  After my husband and I moved to Rockledge, I taught in a couple of other Christian schools.  I can say without reservation that teaching at RCS has been my favorite teaching assignment.  The students, their parents, and the staff are all great.

I was born in Winter Haven, Florida, and grew up there.  I received my B.A. in English from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida.  My first teaching position was teaching high school English in Maryland.  Later I moved to Illinois and taught mostly second and third grades.  During that time I earned my master's degree in education from National College of Education in Evanston.  I have a teaching certificate in elementary education through the Florida Association of Christian Schools. I have been included in Who's Who Among America's Teachers for the years 2005-2006 and 2006-2007.

To relax I enjoy reading a good book, listening to music, or working a SuDoKu or crossword puzzle.  I enjoy taking part in drama when my church has performances.  I attend Rockledge Christian Center and am part of the women's ministry there.  Also, I serve as vice president of administration in Merritt Island Aglow.
