ROCKLEDGE

Hello!  My name is Jennifer Burton and I'm a proud member of Rockledge Christian School's preschool department.  I've been teaching K4 (the VPK program) at RCS since 2005, taking a year off to be with my bundle of joy in 2008.  Prior to this teaching position, I lived in California where I owned a successful, licensed home-preschool.  I have also taught kindergarten for two years and first grade for one year before discovering that preschool is the place to be!  I can't explain the joy I feel when I introduce something brand-new to a four-year-old.  Their sense of wonder and amazement is written on their faces as they learn that Jesus healed people that even doctors couldn't fix, that letters make sounds, that insects have six legs, that daddy seahorses have a pouch to carry eggs...

When I'm not teaching (or answering phones while Mrs. Rosie is at lunch or being the afternoon librarian for grades 2-8) I enjoy spending time with my husband and two great children.  I heart books, ice cream, watching my son play basketball, listening to Christian music (TobyMac rules!), and cooking.  I DON'T heart cleaning or exercising (but who does!)
