Most people call me Mrs. S. I have been a dedicated teacher for over 20 memorable years. I am an honors graduate of Fitchburg State college in Massachusetts with a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education. My masters degree is a work in progress and I recently completed the renewal of my certifications through 2015. I am certified in K - 3 in Massachusetts and K - 6 in Florida. I love teaching Kindergarten and I love teaching at RCS! This is my 6th year at RCS and I can't imagine being happier anywhere else. I take great pride in my teaching. It is exciting to help children learn and grow. Their success is my reward. I enjoy getting to know my students and their families and look forward to the "school families" we will make. I love RCS Spirit Days! It is fun to dress up and be silly with the students and staff to show our school pride. I moved to Florida in 2001. I love living here. I spend most of my free time at the beach and in the river / intracostal.

I have been married to my husband Mark, for 27 wonderful years. We have two son's. Joshua moved to NYC and is a graphic designer. Zachary is a senior at UCF. He is majoring in television and film production with a minor in writing. I have a very mellow old chocolate lab named Max. I am the youngest of 8 children. I have 5 sisters and 1 brother who all live in different states. My Parents are in their 80's and enjoy donating great stuff to RCS and my students. They help us collect lots of Box Tops. I so appreciate them! I am a people person. I am most happy when I can share with others. I am thankful that the Lord has blessed me with so much happiness in my life.
